We got dumped on the past two days here as well. Supposed to not rain for a while now and supposed to be nice and cool. I'm okay with that.

I went out to dinner with my grandparents last night. Free meal and good company. Was nice to not eat by myself for once...

we are supposed to get rain friday or saturday so not much time without rain here....but really nice and cool, had the balcony door open and cooled the place off a bit--nice to not have the a/c or heat on (hope it helps with the electric bill!)

yeah, eating by yourself is a real bummer (and its harder to make food for one than for two or more....I usually make enough for another night, or two )

It is going to be super cool here today. 55 degrees. Maybe some rain tonight with a low of 41. o.O Good thing I like it cool.

I'll end up making stuff that will last me through most of the week probably. So leftovers will become very common.

Woo! Friday! Wife is coming back for the weekend! Double Woo!

Headed to the mid 30's tonight, with frost warnings starting 2 counties to the north of us. Have had the windows open past couple of nights and woke up wanting that comforter. No open windows tonight. Maybe the smart thing to do, would be to call a furnace tech for a checkup.

Can't recall if I mentioned I am working again. Just washing dishes and some food prep work at a Eatery & Pub, on a golf course. 15 to 20 hours a week. No set days or hours, just have to check the schedule before I leave work.

40 year class reunion is tomorrow night. Can't believe it has been that long.

I'm on 30 (and there will be no reunion for my class--they gave up at 10 years).
Yeah time is moving quite fast it seems....even the weather wants to move us along! No frost warnings here, but should be cooler tonight (perhaps because we had rain and still have ugly clouds overhead).

Congrats on the job! Sounds like a lot of work to me no 'just'. Good luck with it.

I haven't even hit 10 yet. That isn't for another 2 years. Wooh... What? In 2 years I'll hit my 10 year reunion? Wow...

Pretty cold right now. It feels like 38 out. I'll take the cooler weather over the blazing hot stuff.

Wife is in town! Yay!! Of course that also means I'm spending some time getting new brakes put on her car and such.

Nope, no new terminology. Actually putting new brakes on her car, or rather Farm and Fleet is. We have known for a few weeks that she needs to put new brakes on but she just hasn't. So since she is home, and it is cheaper here, we are doing it. So yes, I am actually fixing her car while she is here.

well, I hope you had time for some other things than just the brakes
what a beautiful weekend...not too cool not hot at all, no rain (hallelujah!)....and the door to the balcony is open and no smell of dogs, smoke or propane! (I hate bbq's the odor of the burning fuel is just too ...gives me a headache, and even worse is that the food tastes like what they burned it over ---blehck!)

lol Yes we got to spend a lot of time together that didn't involve the brakes. Plus it turns out the brakes are okay. They bled the brake system and cleaned them but they are apparently still okay. So I didn't have to spend a ton of money on brakes, which was great.

It was a nice weekend out, which was a very nice thing.

Wife left, home by myself again...

well you got to spend some time together and didnt spend a ton of money--sounds like a win win to me!

....on my side, about 1 hour after I posted the neighbors started up the propane and I had to close the door, so my nice weekend ended as well. (and I got a nice long nap in too).

Yes it was, we were pretty happy. Not having to spend a bunch of money is definitely a plus.

We have to be careful having stuff open because of charcoal grills. Those put off a lot of smoke that can quickly end up in our apartment.

Bummer... That is definitely not fun, and is down right rude. Do not like that.

Ya, car stuff... Always fun. Went out today to start my car and nothing. Had to call a coworker to pick me up for work. Grandparents came back and brought me back then helped me get it all figured out. Thought it was the stoplight switch, then thought it was the starter, set up all kinds of stuff like maybe towing it and the shop to take it too, then finally got a hold of the Nissan dealer (who I called 3 times throughout the day and didn't get called back...). The Nissan dealer guy said battery, so we took the battery out since my grandpas Buick has the battery underneath the back seat, so we couldn't use it to jump my car. So we took it over there, it tested out as putting out 78 CCA, out of the 550 it is supposed to put out. Got a new battery, put it in, and the car started. Thank goodness!

that is one dead battery! might want to check your inner lights and stuff to make sure you dont have something draining your battery (my old crx had that issue--if you lifted the door handle the inner dome light would come on and drain the battery, until the dome light died ).

Time to winter-ize and check everything on your cars--oil, fluids, battery, lights....and time to make sure your furnace is working properly too---they actually had the heat on at the jiffy lube (where I had my a/c recharged), it was way too hot in there, I had had my balcony door open most of the morning and was enjoying the rather cool temps.

I like to wait to make sure my lights go off in my car before I go in. So I know that wasn't it. I think there was just a cell going bad, similar to what happened in my wife's car. Had enough power for lights, but not enough to crank the car. Just hope that is it.

I had the heat on in here this past weekend. Now we are headed back towards the 80's. o.O

You people and cheap cars, here in Denmark it's so expensive to buy a car mainly because anything that goes in this country gets a flat 25% VAT ;(

In other news, the sun have been shining last 3 days so yesterday me and mates were ofcourse out playing some football(soccer) was nice, though after 30 min my bad toe got too hurt to carry on but meh.

And in even other news, i talked with my city counselor (don't know what the fúck you call em), and she would appoint a psychiatrist to look at me (yay) and she would get me a mentor that could help me in everyday situations as i can not do that at all myself, my brain just can¨'t.

wow that's nice of her! around here you would have to pay a boat load of money to have that done (or you would need to be on welfare ....).

cars arent that cheap, but we dont have the good public transportation that Europe or japan has---and our country is just too dang big to get around easily by train (there is a push to get trains back in the lime light here, but its a very hard sell)....I LOVED being able to get just about everywhere in japan by train and miss that here (only a few times did I wish I had a car while I was in japan---mostly because I was hopelessly lost or the trains were just too infrequent for my schedule).

egads sports talk again...yawn.
